Cheers to my Sippin Gypsy Team Protein shake!
This post comes to you while enjoying my Sippin Gypsy Chocolate Almond Butter Non Martini Protein Shake. For the past three weeks I have placed myself on a 30 day cleanse challenge. While I have found delicious food options, cocktails have been sorely missed. So a few days into my challenge I discovered ways to manipulate my protein shakes into decadent 'Non Martinis' that have helped to curb my cravings. Enjoy! For all my Chocolate Non Martinis the base is the same: 2 scoops Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder 9 oz of liquid (either Cashew Milk, Almond Milk or Coconut Milk) 10 ice cubes Chocolate Almond Butter Non Martini Use the base above with half Cashew Milk and half Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and add: 1 tablespoon Almond Butter mix together in a blender until smooth and serve *for a variation on this you can add a banana Chocolate Mint Non Martini Use the base above with half Cashew Milk and half Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and add: 3 drops of mint extract handful of fresh mint leaves mix together in a blender until smooth and serve with a sprig of mint for garnishment Chocolate Strawberry Non Martini Use the base above with half Cashew Milk and half Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and add: diced strawberries mix together in a blender until smooth and serve with a strawberry on top Chocolate Spice Non Martini Use the base above with half Coconut Milk and half Dark Chocolate Almond Milk and add: 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper (or 1 teaspoon for more heat) 1/2 teaspoon chili powder mix together in a blender until smooth and serve

Cheers Sippin Gypsy Team Protein Shake!! This post comes to you while enjoying my Chocolate Spice Non Martini Protein Shake (recipe below)!
So after three weeks of clean eating and not imbibing on my favorite cocktails, I was going a little stir crazy wanting to get out for new flavors.... much to my relief, there are several clean eating, 30 day cleanse appropriate foods available even if out and about in the tourist realm called Orlando! Between outings to Disney and other popular areas I have listed in mySippin Gypsy Quick Tips for Sippin': Orlando. I have been able to stay true to my goal, and still enjoy fresh flavors and get out and about! So for those of you either conscious of your food intake, or trying to protect a cleanse or strict diet regiment while on a family vacation, this post is for you! For the past few years, I noticed Disney moving towards healthier food options. But recently I have sincerely appreciated a few locations on Disney property that really embrace fresh foods and great flavors. I can't currently give you insight on Sea World or Universal Studios fresh/clean food diet options, but if any of you have any suggestions on these tourist favorites, please share! Orlando also has several restaurants that celebrate a farm to table concept or regularly features local farm fresh options! For many now vacation doesn't have to mean indulge and excess. Vacation could mean relax and start fresh. Be warned though....Farm to Table doesn't always mean light and healthy! While places may still celebrate locally sourced meats and produce, they still are heavy with the butter and cream (love southern cuisine) But during my cleanse, I found a few quick service places that I could grab something light, healthy and ohhhhhhh so tasty! 1. Satul'li Canteen in Pandora at Disney World Resort Animal Kingdom Kale salad, couscous with fish...the combinations are plentiful, and the outcome is light and refreshing. If your travels take you to Disney World, this quick service spot is an affordable option to a unique dining experience coupled with good flavors. 2. Sunshine Seasons at EPCOT in The Land Pavilion What a cornucopia of options! Salmon and green beans, tuna, salads, the list is endless! This is a great location to take time and relax before the second half of your EPCOT day (around the World Showcase). 3. The Rusty Spoon Atmosphere meets creative food preparations. This spot is one of those locations that you can go in casual or dress for a special occasion, but the food will always impress. Located in downtown Orlando, I often stop here before spending time on Lake Eola. 4. Canvas Beautiful setting in Lake Nona. This is the spot to go for sunset dining. Picturesque and amazing food! This is one of those places I warned you about. Farm to table...yes. Amazing flavors...yes. But light and healthy.... not everything on the menu could be listed as light. So this might be a great option if some of your traveling party isn't on the same regiment as you. Chocolate Spice Non Martini Protein Shake 2 scoops of Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder 9 oz Cashew Milk (Or if you prefer Almond milk for a more decadent flavor or Coconut milk) 10 ice cubes 1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper (add more for more heat) 1/2 teaspoon of chili powder Blend well and serve in your favorite sippin glass. Cheers!

I'm two weeks through my cleanse and hanging in there!! I'm joined by a network of individuals that are celebrating clean eating and taking care of our bodies so we can continue to play hard!! This week I dabbled in fun recipes and really committed to exercise daily. One of my favorite finds has been zucchini pasta with pesto! It has completely filled the craving for a delicious bowl of pasta! Unfortunately this has also been one of the coldest weeks on record, so getting outside to run has been brutal, but invigorating! For those of you pushing through this 30 day cleanse: stay strong... two more weeks and treat yourself to a non martini... it helps! Sippin Gypsy Chocolate Mint Non Martini Protein Shake 2 scoops of Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder 9 oz cashew or almond milk (for more decadent use the almond milk) 10 ice cubes 3 drops of Mint Extract A handful of fresh mint leaves Put all ingredients in a blender and mix. Pour into your favorite sippin glass and garnish with fresh mint. Cheers!

Cheers and Happy New Years Sippin Gypsies!!! This post comes to you while enjoying a cleanse cocktail (recipe below)!
What a filling holiday 2017 was! I had my share of decadent deserts, stuffing and rich mac n cheese to celebrate throughout the season. Now I want to lighten up and begin the new year refreshed, and start getting ready for beach season! Last year I completed a 30 day cleanse just after the holidays and I felt amazing!! I wasn't trying to loose weight, just simply trying to reset after a few months of sugary, fatty foods, but what resulted was not only feeling better and re-energized but I did loose weight and felt lighter. So here I go again! I fell in love with the Arbonne products for my 30 day cleanse last year and have started it again for 2018. It will be 30 days of committing to minimal processed foods and mostly lean proteins and fruits and vegetables. Personally I am choosing to minimize my dairy intake as well and doing at least 15 minutes of exercise or meditation every day. I have a group of my friends and fellow Sippin Gypsies who are on this adventure with me and we are helping each other stay on track and sharing recipe ideas, and we will finish just in time for Valentine's Day and Carnival and Mardi Gras!!!! What I love best about this cleanse is it helps kick my cravings for deserts or processed snacks and leaves me feeling satisfied after enjoying raw veggies and tea! I'll be tracking my progress and recipes on Instagram. For those of you curious to join: the products I am using daily are: Arbonne 7 day cleanse for the first week of my cleanse Arbonne Protein Shake Mix (chocolate flavor) Arbonne PhytoSport Set (if you choose to do an intense workout regiment with your cleanse) an assortment of green teas and detox teas a fridge full of veggies, fruits and lean proteins Chocolate Cleanse Non Martini 2 scoops of Arbonne Chocolate Protein Powder 9 oz Cashew Milk (Or if you prefer Almond Milk or Coconut Milk) 10 ice cubes 10 diced strawberries Put all ingredients in blender and mix. Pour into your favorite sippin glass and garnish with fresh herbs and a 2 more diced strawberries! Cheers!
Cheers Sippin Gypsy Team Gin! This post comes to you while enjoying my Sippin Gypsy Holiday Sangria!!
I love the holidays! For me and my family the holiday season kicks off with autumn and Halloween and continues through to New Years!! I personally believe everything looks more magical with twinkling lights! Disney has always impressed me with their attention to detail, and at the holidays they seem to up the wow factor. The Walt Disney World Resort begins to get very crowded the week of Christmas to New Years, so we try to visit in early December to really have time to enjoy the attractions. Magic Kingdom, EPCOT, Hollywood Studios and Animal Kingdom each lights up with unique decorations that blend in with the ambiance and mood of that park. My favorite is to do the Festival of the Holidays around the world at EPCOT, The park offers unique tastes of holiday foods and beverages that are custom to the different countries around World Showcase. Since the sun sets earlier in the winter, its nice to get to the park in the late afternoon and take time sippin and strollin around the world. My other favorite is the pure enchantment of Magic Kingdom at the holidays. The castle looks like a ice palace!! Magic Kingdom does not serve any cocktails, so my fellow gypsies and I enjoy riding the monorail to visit the Grand Floridian, Polynesian and Contemporary resorts and enjoying their holiday decorations while savoring cocktails after our evening at Magic Kingdom. If you plan it right, you can enjoy an evening at Magic Kingdom then head to the Polynesian or Grand Floridian Resorts for a cocktail and watch the Magic Kingdom fireworks from the viewing areas along the beach. This year I really enjoyed doing my holiday shopping at Disney Springs. As you know, My Sippin Gypsy preference is a place I can sip and stroll. With great shops for everyone on my guest list it was very enjoyable to go for lunch, then grab a cocktail while finding unique gifts! One important tip I want to pass on to you: layer, layer, layer. Orlando afternoons may still be warm and pleasant, but in December the temperatures can drop. Shivering and sippin is not a particularly enjoyable way to see the lights. If you are venturing to Orlando during the holidays, I definitely recommend a visit to the parks. Depending on your family age ranges might determine which park you would find most enjoyable. Feel free to email me or comment below with questions when planning your Central Florida trip, I'd be happy to offer any tips or suggestions! |
