Cheers to my Sippin Gypsy Team Gin! This post comes to you while enjoying my Gin and Lavender Lemonade made with New Orleans' own, Euphrosine Gin #9.
I have loved every visit to the Crescent City. This city can easily exhaust you. There is something to do at every hour of the day (including 24 hour bars!) But when it's time to rest, consider some of my favorite finds in this beautiful city: 1. The Saint Hotel My favorite spot in New Orleans, hands down. This charming hotel is sexy and modern with all the comforts of a boutique hotel. The staff is welcoming and engaging, as they blend professionalism with that free spirited fun you want to feel in New Orleans. I especially enjoyed the Burgundy Bar with its sensual red hues and dark wood accents. The Saint Hotel is perfect for that romantic getaway or a group road trip, but not ideal for traveling with children. Located on Canal Street, it was an easy walk to everything in the French Quarter but allowed us quick access to the streetcars to ride up to the Garden District.
2. Hotel Monteleon
I love fusing history and comfort. Hotel Monteleone epitomizes that southern charm and hospitality with elegance. Host to the famed Carousel Bar, which rotates 360 degrees showing off its beautiful lounge which offers jazz music on select nights, this beautiful historic hotel would be perfect for a romantic retreat, that group getaway and could be fine if traveling with children. This hotel would also be a great location if hosting an event in New Orleans such as wedding or anniversary celebration. 3. Bourbon Orleans Hotel New Orleans has no shortage of historic buildings with rich history and captivating architecture, but Bourbon Orleans Hotel is another one of my favorite spots mostly due to its coveted access to Bourbon Street and the Bourbon O Bar with its world famous Ramos Gin Fizz. This is another charming and elegant hotel with a staff that exudes southern hospitality and a genuine passion for their city and your experience. I personally see the Bourbon Orleans Hotel as the ideal party destination for your girls or guys weekend getaway, but I would not advise this hotel if traveling with children. I'd love to hear your advice on great places to rest on my next trip to New Orleans!
